David Nicholls, Portfolio Manager
David Nicholls is a Portfolio Manager and co-architect of East Capital’s Flagship Global Emerging Markets Sustainable Equity strategy. East Capital are HQ’d in Stockholm with senior investors in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Dubai. David joined East Capital in 2014 and assumed his current role as Portfolio Manager in 2022. Having lived in Kurdistan and then Moscow for nearly 8 years, he understands the importance of governance and the trials of emerging market investment through extensive on the ground experience.
Prior to East Capital, David was an Associate at ING Bank, advising local and international companies on large energy projects in Russia and Central Asia. David holds a BA in Economics from Durham University and is a CFA charterholder. He speaks English and Russian.
Justin Warton, Partner and Portfolio Manager
Justin joined ECP in 2021 and co-manages the ECP Global Growth strategy. Previously, Justin was an investment analyst at First Sentier Investors from 2015 to 2021 inclusive, most recently as a member of the Emerging Companies team, leading the coverage of Small Cap Technology and Consumer stocks. Prior to this he also held roles covering Global Infrastructure, both in the listed and unlisted space. Justin completed his B.Comm in Liberal Studies at the University of New South Wales, graduating with Distinction.
Todd Raker, Chief Executive Officer
Todd joined Iridian in 2011 and became CEO in 2022 when the Firm transitioned to employee owned. He is responsible for the management of U.S. Equity portfolios. Todd is a member of Iridian’s Executive Committee.
Previously, Todd worked seven years as a director in the equity research department of Deutsche Bank, and prior to that as a director in equity research for Credit Suisse First Boston and ING Baring Furman Selz.
In addition, he worked in sales for Semiconductor Packaging Materials, and as a research associate with Strategic Planning Associates. Todd holds a BA in Economics from Brown University (1990) and an MSM from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management (1995).
