Mikhail Zverev, Fund Manager

Mikhail Zverev joined Amati in February 2022 as a fund manager to work on TB Amati Strategic Innovation Fund.

Between 2007 and 2021 Mikhail managed high conviction global funds and ran global equities teams at Standard Life Investments (now Abrdn) and Aviva Investors.

Mikhail started his career in finance in 1998 with boutique investment bank Trigon Capital, helping to raise growth capital for Eastern European technology companies. Following a spell with Citigroup, where he was a Mergers & Acquisitions analyst, he joined First State Investments as a Senior Equity Analyst, working alongside Paul Jourdan on the FSI British Smaller Companies Fund and FSI AIM VCT.

Mikhail holds BSc in Semiconductor Physics from St Petersburg State Technical University and MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

Bill Hench, Head of Small-Cap Team

Bill Hench is head of the Small Cap team at First Eagle Investments and lead manager of the First Eagle US Small Cap Opportunity Fund.

Prior to joining First Eagle in April 2021, Bill was portfolio manager of the Small Cap Opportunistic Value strategy at Royce Investment Partners, where he worked for 18 years. Before that, he spent 10 years in the institutional equity business in Boston and New York, most recently with JP Morgan.

He began his professional career as a CPA with Coopers and Lybrand. Bill earned a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University.

Ian Tabberer, Portfolio Manager

Prior to Skerryvore, Ian was a portfolio manager within the Janus Henderson Global Emerging Markets Equities team from 2017 to 2019. He joined Henderson in 2015 as an Investment Manager for Global Equities.

Ian has held senior portfolio manager positions at Henderson and Baillie Gifford as a global and North American investor. Ian started his career in 2001 at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership as a North American investor.

Before joining the investment industry, Ian was a Submarine Warfare Officer within the Royal Navy. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geography from Southampton University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
