Abhinav Mehra, Co-Portfolio Manager
Abhinav co-manages the Chikara Indian Subcontinent Fund which launched in November 2018. He joined the Chikara group in 2016 and was based in Singapore initially working as an analyst on the CC Asia Alpha Fund and Chikara Asian Evolution Fund.
At the start of his career, Abhinav spent four years as an equity specialist in India’s leading domestic investment bank Motilal Oswal, before joining Merrill Lynch India for 18 months covering Indian equities.
Andrew Draycott, Co-Portfolio Manager
Andy co-manages the Chikara Indian Subcontinent Fund which launched in November 2018. He has been with Chikara since 2008, initially working on the CC Asia Alpha Fund and the Chikara Asian Evolution Fund from 2010.
Prior to Chikara, Andy spent 3 years in Hong Kong with Macquarie Securities, and before that Merrill Lynch Asia, and TT investment Management on the Asian desk in 2001. Andy was appointed a member of Chikara in 2014.
Max Thowless-Reeves, Founding Partner and CIO
Max Thowless-Reeves is the Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of SORBUS PARTNERS LLP, a Private Investment Office founded in 2012 and located in Stafford.
Max and his co-fund manager Richard Farmiloe worked together in the 1990’s and came back into partnership in 2014. In 2016, Max and Richard launched the SORBUS VECTOR fund. A high conviction approach using a combination of strong analytical research, rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis thus creating an in-depth encyclopedic knowledge of the UK quoted universe built up over 30 years of direct investment experience. The VECTOR fund invests predominantly in UK companies that have strong balance sheets, low debt/net cash, good cash generation, high ROCE with long term value and in the past this has even included shareholder intervention/activism.
Max is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI, an MBA from Warwick Business School and a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Ashton Business School.
Charlie Fricker, Fund Manager
Charlie is co-fund manager of the Vermeer Global Fund and has worked on the Fund since its launch having joined Vermeer Investment Management in 2016.
Charlie read Economics at Exeter University and worked closely with Tim Gregory at Psigma Investment Management where he worked as part of the Investment Team. The Vermeer Global Fund aims to generate long term capital growth with a focus on aiming to find mid cap companies at the beginning of their growth story.
