David Ridland, Partner & Chief Investment Officer
David’s investment career began during the Asian crisis in 1997 as a member of the Japanese equity team at Ignis AM. The team collected the Micropal award in 2000 for best risk adjusted returns having been wary of the TMT bubble.
In 2002 he moved to the UK Equity team at Ignis where he managed segregated and institutional mandates during which time he developed his investment database. In September 2008 he joined Barclays in order to incorporate his approach to large segregated and charity portfolios and establish his own track record. David co-founded Castlebay Investment Partners in April 2013.
David Walton, Fund Manager
David graduated with a first class degree in economics from Cambridge University before joining M&G, where he was a European equities fund manager with responsibility for small/mid-caps. In 2000 David joined Baillie Gifford, where he took on responsibility for the European small cap portfolios including the Baillie Gifford European Smaller Companies Fund and delivered strong outperformance. David joined the investment team in January 2013 and has managed the European Special Situations Fund since October 2013.
Patrick Armstrong, Group Chief Investment Officer
Patrick manages Plurimi’s discretionary strategies, and offers investment consulting and advice for a range of client portfolios. Previously he was CIO at Armstrong Investment Managers, co-head of Insight Investment’s
Multi-Asset Group and Director at UBS. Patrick has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
