Mike Clements, Fund Manager
Mike has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry and over 12 years’ experience managing European equity portfolios. His investment career began in 1999 as a European equity analyst at UBS Asset Management.
In 2008, he moved to Franklin Templeton Investments where he managed the €3 billion Franklin European Growth Fund and related mandates. Between 2014 to 2020 he was Head of European Equities at Syz Asset Management, managing a range of Pan European and Europe ex. UK funds, including the Oyster Continental European Income Fund.
He has been managing the VT Downing European Unconstrained Income Fund with Pras Jeyanandhan since November 2020.
Charles Heenan, Investment Director
Charles heads our investment team and has been running the portfolio with Geoff since they launched it in July 2007. Charles has over 30 years’ experience in global stock markets and over this time developed a distinct value approach to global investing.
Prior to Kennox, Charles was a key member of the highly successful Asia Pacific (ex Japan) and Emerging Markets team’s investment activities at Stewart Investors (previously First State Investments).
Mark Ellis, CEO and CIO
Mark founded Nutshell Asset Management in 2019. Mark has a 25+ year history in trading and investing for a number of leading financial institutions, including NatWest Markets, Citibank and Symmetry Investments.
As well as a degree in Economics from LSE, Mark has an MSc (Distinction) in Finance from Cass Business School, where his dissertation on Momentum Trading was subsequently published in the Journal of Asset Management.
