14th May 2025
Our next event will take place on the 14th May in the City of London. Speaker details are below.

Mark Dainty, Lead Portfolio Manager
Mark spent 6 years as the biotech portfolio manager at Norges Bank Investment Management, the Norwegian Sovereign wealth fund, where he outperformed healthcare and biotech benchmarks over several years. He has 20 years of relevant experience.
Prior to Norges, Mark worked as a global healthcare analyst at BlackRock and as a pharmaceuticals analyst at Citi. He started his career in finance by previously qualifying as a Chartered accountant with KPMG and holds a Master’s in Pharmacy. This is key to his success as a biotech investor: he combines financial expertise and scientific understanding, enabling him to focus on finding business models that create long-term investor value from innovation in precision medicine.

Christofer began his career as a Senior Economist at Handelsbanken in 1996, before transitioning to portfolio management in 2000, focusing on global and US equity strategies. He spent several years based in New York, including during the global financial crisis. In 2013, he was appointed Head of Active Equity and subsequently served as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Handelsbanken from 2015 to 2022. Christofer left to co-found Coeli Circulus, bringing extensive experience in global equity markets and leadership in active fund management.

Joakim By, Portfolio Manager & co-Founder
Joakim spent 21 years at Handelsbanken prior to co-founding Coeli Circulus. He held a number of senior roles, including seven years as Head of US Equities, where he led the America Small Cap Fund. He also managed the Handelsbanken America Thematic and Global Thematic portfolios, building a strong track record in small-cap investing. In 2022, Joakim co-founded Circulus alongside Christofer Halldin and Simon Park. Together, they now manage both a Global Small-Cap Fund and a US Small-Cap Fund.
